Juliet Wise

Owner, Clinical Director, & Therapist

Uncertain, unplanned, and unwanted experiences—especially those involving sexual trauma—can leave you feeling abandoned, guilty, and painfully alone. They may tarnish your sense of worth and steal the intimacy you long for. Yet the capacity to heal has always been inside you; my role is to help you uncover it.

As the Founder and Clinical Director of Journey to New Beginnings Counseling Services, I specialize in working with women and couples navigating sexual trauma, intimacy struggles, attachment wounds, depression, anxiety, and relationship ruptures. I am EMDR-trained and trauma-informed, and I approach therapy with a focus on both the body and mind. Research shows that 80% of trauma is stored in the body while only 20% is held in the brain—this is why healing requires more than talk. In our work together, you will learn how to calm your nervous system, release survival patterns, and discover a space of peace and safety in your body.

I guide clients in understanding the five levels of intimacy—physical, emotional, mental, sexual, and spiritual—and how trauma can disrupt them. Together, we move from disconnection to connection, from fear to presence, and from survival to freedom. My goal is to help you live free from a nervous system hijacked by trauma and instead step into an embodied sense of peace and possibility.

At Journey to New Beginnings, every session is designed to deepen self-awareness, nurture self-love, and rewrite the beliefs that trauma has etched into your story. Healing is not about erasing the past, but about reclaiming your voice and moving forward with hope, strength, and freedom.

Beyond therapy, I mentor and supervise the next generation of clinicians, equipping them with trauma-informed approaches to healing so that together, we expand the movement of compassionate, excellent care.
